thankyou so much Elaine!!! im looking for George and Elizabeth Silkstone. should be living in Shirland. George was born in 1814 in Ashover. i have no details of Elizabeth apart that her surname was broom. they had a daughter called Fanny born in 1838 and a son called william who was born in 1841. thankyou again

Elaine, again I am seeking your help. Looking for the Michael Sharkey in Chesterfield. Would be about 14 and born in Ireland. Father's name John b Ireland and mother Ellen?. Possible other children in household: Patrick 13, John 8, Eleanor 11, Mary 21 and Joan 19, supposedly all born in Ireland. Thanks Rose

Ok, thanks for all your help Elaine, live in London so dont think trip up to Derbyshire can be on the cards at the mo - but maye when I get some holiday time!! Any other suggestions about where I could look in the meantime? Juliana x

Julianna .. The Derbyshire 1851 Census isn't out yet... but as soon as its available I will grab it ! .. and let everyone know I'm doing lookups. You would need to go to the Records Office in Matlock, Derbyshire to view the census on Fiche... if your really eager ! Elaine :-)

Grundy: Richard 60 & Frances 50 Grundy: Ann 30, William 2, Elizabeth 1 (pg 168) Grundy: William 50, Sarah 50, (pg 182) These are the total results for both Grundy & Dumelow in Codnor & Sandiacre. Hi Elaine, thank you so much for the kind offer, this side of the family is giving my loadsa grief! Could you please do a search for the Wilson family from the Chapel en le Frith / Bugsworth area of Derbyshire. The only two people I know of for definate are - JAMES WILSON born c1798 (Taxal, Cheshire) and his daughter ANN WILSON born c1829 (Chapel en le Frith) Again, thank you so so much, Juliana xxx

Could you please spare the time to look up the following Elaine ? The Grundy Family William Grundy b 1808 Hannah b 1808 Ann b 1831 Thomas b 1837 William b 1841 I think that they will come under Codnor Park as the children were born there. I have them at Town St Sandiacre in 1851 Thank you Gill
