Hi Joanne I found Annie Forrest on the 1891 census as follows: Living at 94 Brondesbury Villas,Willesden Working as a Domestic Servant for a family called Baxter her age is 17 and place of birth Southwark. I could not find Wilhelmina on the 1891 census and a search on Freebmd for a death between 1881 and 1891 gave no hits. Regards Mary

Thank you for finding my Forrest family. However there are two other girls on 1881. Annie and Wilhelmina. Wilhelmina was younger than Mary so could have died but I know Annie didn't marry till 1897. Any chance of you looking them up for me?

Hi Gwen Some more info for you from 1851 census: Living in Crawley William Weaver 37 Head Ag Lab b Crawley Jane Weaver 31 Wife b Chipping Norton Francis Weaver 5 Daur b Crawley Noah Weaver 1 Son b Crawley Sarah is missing for some reason. The census entry goes over 2 pages and I think that she was simply missed off on the second page or she may have been staying with her maternal grandparents(or some other family) as she is not with the Weaver Grandmother(I checked). The other piece of info is a death registration for Jane Weaver Dec Qtr 1852 Witney 3a 366. Theother alternative is that Sarah is not William/Jane's daur but the Daughter of one of the unmarried Weaver females!!! I think you will have fun sorting this out Good luck Mary

Hi Ellen Despite there being many Cooper families in Chadlington on the 1851 census I could not find the two ladies you were seeking. I suspect the younger one had probably married by 1851 and the older one had died. Regards Mary

Hi Kevin I am sorry but I have not been able to locate your John Connaughton family on any of the censuses. Tried all sorts of different spellings etc but a big fat zero. Not much better with William and Hannah,I only managed to find this entry on the 1891 but the female name is Ann and ages for both are incorrect: Living at 21 Glebe St, Ashton under Lyne Ann Connaughton Head Married 40 Card room hand b Ireland William Connaughton Son 20 Spinner in Cotton Mill b Ashton There are a number of Connaughtons on the indexes but most seem to be born in Ireland and only a few born in Lancs. Hi Denise, Yes I think the best way to try to track her down is with the marriage cert. By the way Wybunbury is in Cheshire according to the 1871 census not Staffs. Good luck Mary

Mary Report 9 Feb 2005 23:19

Hi Denise The earliest full census available on Ancestry is 1871 which means Mary Rowley would be approx 49 and unlikely to be still unmarried. I did try the 1851 sample but no luck there and nothing on IGI. Sorry Kind regards Mary
