OOOHH! I'm loosing where I'm up to..... Margaret Mitcheson - re Arrowsmith 1861 lodger 20 Haffron Street, Stockton on Tees apprentice stone mason, he's living in a house with 2 other fellow stones masons apprentices. Now there are lots of people with this name but I believe that this is going to be him in the 1851... the way it's written the son of head isn't his dad, more likely uncle. J Wm Arrowsmith abt 1843 Stockton, Durham, England Grandson Sedgefield Durham View Record Mary Arrowsmith abt 1777 Hurworth, Durham, England Head Sedgefield Durham View Record William Arrowsmith abt 1819 Sedgefield, Durham, England Son Sedgefield Durham Mary is an agricultural labourer and pauper, William is a joiner and John William scholar. Hi again Julie.I am trying to help an 82 year old lady with her family tree and finding it difficult to read what she has written. Could you look on 1901 census for Lincolnshire for a HOLTBY family. Her mother was born 1899 not sure if the name is Beattie. George Shute and Eliza Webster. They married 1901 but dont know if its before or after the census. If you could find these on 1901 and further back. I found John Holtby on 1881 aged 70 so if you would be so kind to find him prior to that it would make an old lady very happy. She is almost totally housse bound so she knows I will at least visit to give her my findings. Thanks Gloria I have now got the HOLTBY family details from all the census so just looking for the Shute and Webster families.

Dear Julie Many thanks for all the info on the Patricks of Kettering. Yes it is so sad to see the ages at which some wives were widowed. I have already obtained copies of his service record from the National Archives at Kew. Fascinating records. I didn't have any info for John so thank you for that. It seems I still have a problem locating Dinah in 1861. I know she died in 1869 in Birmingham but cannot pick her up after 1851. Many thanks for all you help A very happy new year to you Christine
