Well it looks like Reggie has found the bros and too late unfortunately for your friends - but what about seeing if he married and had children and your friends could perhaps contact them?

I am Trying trace a Mr Dennis Slark. Several years ago I was asked to trace Dennis on behalf of some German friends with whom he was acquainted after the last war. He was very helpful and they never forgot his kindness. Dennis was stationed in Krefeld Germany in 1949/1950 and we know that he came from Wiltshire maybe the Salisbury or Devizes area. We know that he had a brother called Douglas and at least one sister and his parents may have been connected to the Salvation Army. We believe he was posted to the Far East around 1950, maybe Burma or Malaya. Brian Hawkes
