I am researching both my own and my husbands family tree my family are the Abbott and Whatmough families. The Whatmough from Salford area of Manchester my grandmother was lily Whatmough and married Lawrence Abbott who originated from Nelson Lancashire my great grandparents Whatmough were the first people in the showmans guild. My husbands family originate from Royton Oldham Manchester and i have information up to his great grandad who was James Robinson 402 Higginshaw Road Royton b. 1861 d. 1893 he was a carter by trade and he married Mary we think her surname was Silcock any further information on these families would be gratefully recieved |
