Andrew TOOTILL Hi, I'm searching my familly history first of all on the "male" side but also of course on the mothers side (much more difficult) I've got definit info back to : TOOTILL, Abraham, 1806, Ainsworth Lancashire. I've got probable links back to : TOOTILL, John, (c) 1748, Ainsworth, Lancashire Then things get more complicated. From what my familly says we TOOTILLs are descended from hugenots who fled from France. This would have been around 1702. I haven't been able to find any trace of TOOTILL or anything like it in FRANCE. On the other hand I have found : TOTEHYLL, Humphrey, 1482, Staffordshire which links to TOOTILL via TUTTLE. However ther are missing links between 1593 and 1748. Anyway would be interested to here from other TOOTILLs and any advice you may have on my searches.
