Find Ancestors

My name is Natasha Ashton and I am searching for members of the Ashton Family in the London area. My father (Michael William Ashton) aged 45 years old and myself have been trying to make contact with members of the Ashton family for over a year now. My grandfather Albert John Augustus Ashton born 19/2/1926 in St Lukes, London fought in the Battle of Crete on the HMS Kelly during World War II and his Official Royal Navy Number was C/JX214618. He then moved to New Zealand after the war and married Pearl Williams and they had 4 children Michael (my father), Judith and Caroline and Karen (also twins). We believe Albert was one of 21 brothers and sisters (seven sets of twins) who lived in Finsbury, London. We believe some of their names were Girly, Ivy (his twin), Tiny and Sis, Kitty, Lily Tony Gus and Tommie and John. My great grandfather’s name was William Albert Ashton and my great grandmother was Ellen Ashton. We are trying to make contact with any relatives that we have as my grandfather never returned to the UK and met any of his family again.. As I only met my grandfather for the first time two months before he died aged 76, I was unable to get much more information than what is stated above.
