I am looking for information on the descendants of Andrew REID and Helen Dalrymple GRANT Andrew REID born abt 1843 in Ayrshire, the son of John REID and Mary MILLAR both of Stevenston Ayrshire, married Helen Dalrymple GRANT on 24 July 1867 in Newton-upon-Ayr. They had 4 children: Mary Morrion REID born 1 Sep 1870 in Newton-upon-Ayr John REID born 18 Nov 1874 in Newton-upon-Ayr Andrew REID born 5 Oct 1877 in Troon Cunningham REID born 3 Oct 1881 in Troon. In 1881 the family are living in Troon. Unfortunately Andrew (snr) a harbour pilot died in 1885 as a result of a tragic accident in Troon Harbour. His wife Helen died later in the same year. Mary Morrison REID married Hugh Cameron FRASER and had a numerous family. They lived in Old Cumnock. I would like to know more about their 11 children and their descendants Cunningham REID was adopted by his aunt and subsequently married Mary Hilton CREWES. I believe they had one daughter who did not marry. John REID was living with his Uncle and Aunt in the 1891 census in Irvine. I do not know what happened to John beyond this. Andrew REID was living with his uncle John REID in Birmingham in the 1891 census. I do not know what happened to Andrew beyond this.
