JAMES REID Hello, I am searching for James Reid, born around the turn of the 19th Century, where I do not know. His son, William b.1837, married Mary Jane Snowsill at St Giles Cripplegate in 1858. In turn they had a son James b.1869 who married Annie Sharp in 1890, Alfred b.1864, John b.1866, Robert b.1871. If anyone can offer any information I would very grateful Scott Reid

hi don't know if this is the same i am tring to trace a james reid born 1801 not known where who married a mary sheill in kelso 24/02/1824 they had thomas, anthony, james, WILLIAM ,john, lyle and elaine, all living in the school house beith at time of 1841 census we are from lyle's line, could the son william who was born in1833 be the one your looking for? so if your james's mum was mary sheill sould be the same!!

Hi Scott, Our Reids have connections with St Giles. We have a Thomas Jemes b. 1805 M to Sophie Thatcher.Could your James be a brother to him? You may view our tree if you wish. Not sure how to give you permission from this site though. Our email address is [email protected]
