Hallo, My 2x great grandfather was Thomas REID and he married (no date as yet) Elizabeth D'ARCY in Dundalk Louth Ireland. No births have been found for either Thomas or Elizabeth, but they did have a child Ann born 15 July 1839 in Dundalk Louth, the family then left on the ship 'Wallace' and went to Australia arriving 27 November 1841. There was at least one son, possibly 2, born to them in Australia, Thomas on 10 Nov 1842 and with his wife and family, they came to New Zealand in 1870. Another could possibly have been David Stuart REID born in 1848. Is anyone researching this same Reid/Read family Thank you Val Read |
