Hi My name is Chanel Reid and I am currently trying to research my father`s side of the family, His surname was REID all the info on his side was that his grandparent`s were Joseph Winter Reid and Mary Martha Waugh. His father was Donald Thomas Reid born on the 25th Aug 1932 NZ and died on 14 Nov 1960 in NZ he married Pamela Elizabeth Williams These are my grandparents. I believe they were all living in New Zealand The earliest memory I can recall my dad saying to me about his family was that there was a guy by the name of Scot Wilhelm Debretz who was originally from Germany but jumped ship to Scotland and changed his name there.
