My name is Samantha Sammons, I am trying to find information on my grandfather who's name was Edward Charles Reid, He was born in Kola India on b) 23rd May 1908 m) d) june 199? B'ham He Married Hope Edna Douglas (nee Sonsoni) who was born in Calcutta India. they were classed as AngloIndian. b) 4th Nov 1903 m) d) 1958/9 B'ham they had 3 children together plus Hope had 2 Boys from her 1st marriage. Desmond Douglas b) /1924 Bangalore India Trevor Douglas b) 13/05/1934 Bangalore India d) 08/07/2004 Birmingham Avril Inez Reid b) 01/02/1939 Bangalore India m) 30/03/1965 Oldbury Worcestershire d) 06/07/2004 Hampstead London William Reid b) /1945 Bangalore India m) /1960's Birmingham d) /2000 Yorkshire Gwen A Reid b) 10/01/1949 Birmingham m) /1965 Sutton coldfield (My Mum) He served in the British Army and moved to England from India around late 1946 early 1947. Any information that can help me trace his side of the family (i.e,parents-siblings etc) would be greatly appreciated as my mum does not know anything about them and it would help to complete my families full tree.
