I am trying to find my cousin LESLIE REID born 6th August 1943 possibly in GATESHEAD TYNE AND WEAR (definately in the North-East).His birth registration, made by his mother is LESLIE A REID. His mothers maiden name is DORA STRATTON born approx 1914-1915, and his fathers name was LESLIE REID born 1915. My uncle,who was in the Navy was killed in October 1943 and is buried in the war cemetery in SICILY ITALY. Leslie and his mother moved to York around 1948 approx, to live with her brother.My uncles parents were John(Jack) and May Reid |
