Unless you know who married who you can check freebmd from Q3 1911 onwards to see if there are children born to the different surname combinations, or for before then use the GRO site which gives mmn from Q3 1837

Hello
I am struggling to find the marriage between Emma Westwell and Ernest Walton.
This would have taken place I am guessing in Leigh, Lancashire as they were both born there. First child Wilfred was born on 31 January 1912 in Leigh. There is an Ernest William Walton married in Leigh in 1911 however it does not give a spouse.
Hope you can help.
