William Guycott Walton was baptised 1st Jan 1807 at Pinchbeck, parents were William and Elizabeth. On FMP

EDIT Trancribed with second forename as Guycott, but on the register image it looks like Guylott to me.

William Walton married Elizabeth Guylott 20th April 1805 at Whaplode, Lincs. His parish was Gosberton, hers was Whaplode. A Mary Guylott was one of the witnesses.

Unfortunately there is more than one possible baptism at Gosberton for the William Walton who married Elizabeth Guylott in 1805 at Whaplode.

William Wolton bap 30th April 1779, parents John and Elizabeth

William Wolton bap 18 Sep 1781 parents John and Sarah

William Wolton bap 8th Jan 1782 , born 8th Sept 1781,parents William and Sarah

In addition to the 3 Gosberton baptisms above, there is also

William Walton baptised 12 July 1778 at Whaplode Drove, parents William and Sarah

William Walton baptised 7th Feb 1773 at Whaplode Drove, parents Robert and Leah

Kucinta Report 5 Feb 2022 00:42

Yorkshire baptisms on FMP have a baptism for George Hollingworth at Bradford on 6th July 1806, son of Abraham Hollingworth of Heaton Manor.
EDIT, it was Abraham Hollingworth of Heaton, miner, ie his occupation, not manor

At the moment I can't find a local marriage for an Abraham Hollingworth.

I note that Frances and George Hollingworth have a son named Abraham ( born c1833 Heaton)in the 1851 census record, and a son named Matthew ( born c. 1837 Heaton)

The 1851 census record says Frances was born c 1807 at Overton.

There is a baptism on Yorkshire baptisms on FMP for a Frances Horner born 16th Sept 1806, bap 23rd Sept 1806 at Overton, parents Matthew Horner of Overton, labr, and Hannah Bland daur of William Bland of (Flawith?hard to read), which would match the marriage that safc posted earlier.

Yorkshire marriages on FMP have a marriage for Matthew Horner and Hannah Bland at Overton on 3rd Dec 1793. Both bride and groom have Overton as their abode.

I note that the names of George and Frances's two sons, Abraham and Matthew, reflect the names of the boys' grandfathers, Abraham Hollingworth and Matthew Horner, if the baptisms in this post are the correct ones.

Apologies for not being able to c & p, I find it hard to do so on my tablet.

EDIT Yorkshire baptisms has the baptism of a Hannah Bland, at Crayke, about 8 miles from Flawith, born 25th Oct 1767, baptised 3rd Nov 1767 . Parents are William (as per the baptism record for France Horner), and Frances, who was probably the namesake for Frances Horner, her granddaughter?

Yorkshire marriages on FMP has the marriage of William Bland of Craike to Frances Frankland of Bransby at Brandsby on 2nd Feb 1763. Brandsby is about 2 or 3 miles from Crayke.

Kucinta Report 5 Feb 2022 10:20

Following on from the 1797 marriage safc posted Yorkshire baptisms has an Abraham Hollingworth baptised Dewsbury All Saints, 5th Nov 1775, father named John.

Beginning to get speculative though.

EDIT

In addition to the marriage for Abraham that safc found, there is also a marriage in Bradford 25th Sept 1797 of an Abraham Hollingworth to a Deborah Ward.
( Yorkshire Marriages FMP)

Other children baptised in Bradford to Abraham Hollingworth, miner or collier, in addition to George Hollingworth in 1806,are,

Mary 27th May 1798
John 2nd Feb 1800
Nanny 7th March 1802
Tabby 26th Feb 1809

also Deborah Hallingworth, father Abraham, of Heaton, a coal miner,3rd June 1804.

On reflection I think I favour the marriage to Deborah Ward.

There is a baptism in Calverley, 5 or 6 miles from Bradford, for an Abraham Hollingworth 28th March 1773, father named Benigna Hollingworth. I checked the image of the record, and it has been transcribed correctly.

Again, this is speculative.

Purchasing the marriage cert for John Robinson and Elizabeth Wilcock ought to give you leads on the names and occupations of their fathers, if known.

Marriages Dec 1897 Haslingden 8e 191

The 1881 and 1891 censuses have a John Robinson born c1874 Cleethorpes living with parents John Robinson, fisherman, born c1839 Cleethorpes, and Sarah born c1841, Cleethorpes, in Humber St, Cleethorpes. Robinson is a common name though, so the marriage cert for John and Elizabeth would be advisable.

A John Robinson son of John Robinson, fisherman, and Sarah, abode Cleethorpes, was baptised at Old Clee, Aug 17th 1873.

Kucinta Report 5 Feb 2022 20:10

I really struggled with John Best. Spent ages trying to link him with family of Jeremiah Best, a butcher, of North Owram and wife Sarah, who were breeding in places like Coley, Halifax, in the right time slot. To no avail.

Think John had a belated baptism at Coley 23rd May 1824, parents James Best, a wire drawer of North ouram, and wife Hannah. His actual birthdate was 21st June 1812.

The location of his birth is not recorded, but I suspect his parents are the James Best, wire drawer, of Northowram, and Hannah Jessop of Southouram, who married at Halifax St John on Sept 12th 1803 (Yorkshire marriages FMP), so it seems likely that they stayed in the same area.

Looking further, James Best, wire drawer, and wife Hannah had at least 3 more children baptised Coley, Halifax:

Richard bap 7th Oct 1804
Martha bap 25th June 1806
Mary bap 25th Dec 1808

EDIT, Coley seems to be the go to church/chapelry for Northowram. Unfortunately there is a gap between 1765-1780 for its baptism records, which may interfere with tracing ancestors of James Best and Hannah Jessop if they were locally born.
