Good evening
Could anyone please do a 1939 check for me please?
The lady Im interested in is JESSIE M WOODS possibly Camberwell / London area.
I do not know her age but could be approximately 1910 or maybe later. I do not know if Woods was her married or maiden name but she married a John S Fox in 1941 in Camberwell.
Im interested to know who she was with before her 1941 marriage.
Many thanks Cass

What is very odd is that putting in just the date as given on the death reg brings this up, Ive looked at it twice now and the date for Emily is very clearly 21/feb 1873 I think the closed record 'might' be the person with birth 1 Mar 1913 ? There is only one Arthur on the image born 1866...
Woods Household (5 People) 43 Nutbrook Street , Camberwell, London, England
Emily Woods 01 Mar 1913 Female ??? Married 72 2 Arthur J Woods 21 Feb 1873 Male Unpaid Domestic Duties Married 72 1 Sorry, this record is officially closed. Check if you can open a closed record. Violet J Woods 22 Mar 1888 Female Builder General Labourer Single 72 4 NB she's a shop assistant! Arthur J Woods 23 Oct 1866 Male Masons Labourer (Heavy Worker) Married 72 1

Wow thanks for all the additional info.
Shirley - very intersting - they ended up in Lincs which is a new avenue to look at. I wasnt sure zI had the right marriage but as it shows John Stanley Fox I know I have the right marriage.
All really useful info!!
Thankyou all!!

Thankyou Shirley.
I'm helping an elderly chap, Irene's nephew to try to find out what happened to this lady. His mother (Irene's sister) was told she had died during the war but they were never able to find out if it was true.
Every year she put an appeal in the paper apparently to try to trace Irene. I wish the name was rarer! I've found someone with this family on a genes tree so have messaged her - no reply yet though. Its not been easy to look for the childrens marriages either due there being lots of people with the same name
Thanks very much for that check - much appreciated!

Thank you Shirley - yes that's her.
Her sister was told she died during the blitz but didn't believe it - so that dates fits. I've just now ordered her death cert. How sad she was only 34 and had had 6 children - two had died at birth.
Ive tried tracing the children but the name Watson isn't easy but now Ive got the death cert coming it may give a few more clues. At least we will know what really happened to her.
Thanks again! :-D :-D
