Olive Mary Higgins Gigg was born at the above address on 14/03/1916. Having looked up this address it turns out to be a workhouse. Does anyone know if there are records available to look at

More likely it the hospital attached to the workhouse

People would be in the hospital because they couldn't afford private care but wouldn't necessarily have been in the workhouse

Because of the stigma of the workhouse the postal address would be given of the hospital rather than the name
