nah, Sheila

leave it ............................ but in future, if they're close, like this, it is better to have it on the same thread.

What I copied over is the only bit of information that could relate to here.

Sorry you got a bad reception last time. I don't bite :-)

I know nothing at all about him. He is just a name on a marriage certificate . If he died at sea his death would be reported,????? or how was Sarah able to claim she was a widow??? It's all a bit wierd to me lol

Sheila ... it might have been better to have added this to that other thread, as the only reason you are looking for him is because of his marriage to Sarah Monday.

Otherwise, you are likely to have other helpers looking for the same information as has already been posted.

Was he a mariner? If so maybe he died at sea?

Hi I have tried on every free site to find the death of William Oakes according to his marriage lines he was of full age when he married in Plymouth 19 November 1852 ,and a widower I know nothing about him. His widow Sarah re-married and according to her second marriage certificate dated 22 August 1858 she was a widow.

So somewhere between 1852 and 1858 William Oakes died.and I can't find it being registered anywhere can you help please
Thank you
Sheila :-( :-S
