Charlotte Report 23 Nov 2011 12:35

I am trying to find ancestors of Mary McNaughton Cassidy b 29.7.1908 in the district of Plantation in the county of Lanark. Statutory Births 646/01 0568.
Parents are William John Cassidy (Clyde Trust Labourer) and Elizabeth Stuart Cassidy ms. Short who married 23.8.1907 in Govan.
On the marriage cert 646/02 0349 William aged 21, his parents are William John Cassidy (also a Clyde Trust Labourer) and Mary Cassidy ms. McNaughton.
Elizabeth Stuart Short (Domestic Servant) aged 18, her parents are John Short (Cooper) and Johanna Maria Short ms. Pozzi now deceased.
Marriage cert 644/13 00/4j John Short aged 25, usual residence 5 Kearney Buildings, Belfast. His parents are Andrew Short (also a Cooper journeyman) and Mary Short ms McKechnie. Joanna Maria Pozzi aged 22, usual residence 178 Eglington St, Glasgow., Her parents are William Pozzi (Tailor master) and Elizabeth Pozzi ms Stewart.
I am stuck on the Cassidy side....possibly because of the Irish connection. I have no details of any Cassidy siblings, and no further info on Mary McNaughton.
Can anyone shed any more light in my direction. Your help as always is very much appreciated.
Regards
Charlotte
