Personally it doesn't seem that hit and miss to me - as far as I can see Mumof4 just identified one 'wrong' marriage, though I agree it would be informative to know how she did link to the families she found in 1901 and 1911 census.

Can you tell us how you got back to the names you are searching as it is a bit hit and miss all the way through.

Which leaves us with the issue of not only no marriage to Rose, c1905 but also no apparent marriage to Ada c1900 either.

I guess if he didn't marry them he didn't need to worry about divorce!

just mentioned it to rule it out

I still think the Ada Rose Eleanor baptism that at least three of us have posted is the right one, but that 'Eleanor' is a mistake, possibly for Helena as I tentatively suggested before.

.Am wonderinig whether Eleanor is a mishearing of Helen or Helena, on Ada Rose's baptism as previously posted as Ada is usually referred to as Ada Rose H rather than Ada Rose E in previously mentioned sources.
