Hi has anyone got (john) REID who lived in Westdale(tamworth)NSW in 1937 he went to a/s from scotland(aberdeen???) I think he was born about 1880 and probily died in Westdale after 1940 I only know of two sisters Alexandrina(my g/m) and Biby (sory dont know her proper name Thanks and may i wish you all a happy new year Tom

Looking on NSW births, marriages and deaths brings up this possible death

23566/1953 REID JOHN JAMES WILLIAM ELIZABETH TAMWORTH

Which shows a John James Reid dying in 1953 in Tamworth, NSW. His parents names were William and Elizabeth.

Does this match with the information you have?


There is also this death registered in Balmain, NSW with parents William and Agnes

10870/1952 REID JOHN WILLIAM AGNES BALMAIN

There is also a Scottish census showing an Alexandrina Reid with parents William and Agnes. There are other brothers and sisters on the 1891 and 1901 but no John Reid listed with them - so possibly not yours.
