Sheena,

Just had a look where you got marys baptism/birth from and had a look at the whole batch, there are several CORS Fitzpatricks married to different women, so does not seem like an abbreviation does it, unless they do have the same name and the vicar could not spell it! not unheard of! I would say it wads Cornelius without looking at the cert, but you are sure it is P or D?

EDIT. Had a look at the 1901 census and there are loads of Cors so seems it is not an abbreviation, so something is not right somewhere.....you sure you have the right BC corresponding with the find on IGI?

The marriage is 'London City'

St Mary Moorfields Roman Catholic Church, City of London

St Mary Moorfields in Eldon Street, between Moorgate and Liverpool Street station, is the only Catholic church in The City.
