As Ginny has said, delete this thread and edit the heading on your other thread. Then add an Edit to your first posting on the other thread to summarise what has been found and say what further information you are seeking. Otherwise helpers will go off looking for information that has already been found.

If you leave the other thread on it is useful to people just starting to research their families. It lets them see some of the pitfalls and also illustrates how important it is to check thoroughly every source of information - never trust anyone else's research and where possible look at as many primary sources that are available to you.

Ginny and I are just so pleased that you're on the right track now.
