Barbara, i have looked for marriages using John Davies and Jane ( no surname) in Leeds where first child was born, Newton, Ashton...nothing.

I would order the cert for Albert Edward ( or possibly Rose Ann ) if you can afford it and check names of parents .

I have to say this one has got the better of me lol

Again Jane is single

In theory Barbara yes the marriage is too early, but it is the only one, that I can find between John Davies and Jane Greenwood, even using phonetic search on names.

There is of course the possibility that they didn't marry.

But the only thing with that 1891 the Albert on there his middle initial is E
