Marion,
Thank you again, I hadn't seen that. Arthur street is the address in Greenock where Johns wife died and daughter Mary was born there. It might be a close with a number of different flats .

SandraE....

To find the relationship you need to be looking at the Wm Campbell household...not Eliz. Campbell...
You already have the details (From Netty 935540) but not the actual Census imagine ...get that one from SP...

Erin,
Thank you very much.
Hopefully some kind person with Census lookups can maybe find out the relationship of young Lizzie to whoever. (fingers crossed)

Eringobragh1916

Eringobragh1916 Report 11 Nov 2009 08:33

SandraE.....
The child Lizzie Campbell could be a daughter of one of Wm.and Agnes male children or daughter to "Lizzie" aged 20yrs (1901) Census.
The Census would show relationship to the Head of Household...
Scotlands People is your best bet to find all the info.you need.
I don't think John and Mary would have had any other children given date of marriage and Mary's death..she may have died in childbirth possibly having Mary jnr. (you cant always rely on "age" on the Census.) or having another child...however I couldn't find any ref..to a "baby" Morgan at the same time as Mary's death.

Sandra

Sandra Report 10 Nov 2009 22:55

Is there any way of finding out who baby Lizzie Campbell belongs to ?

Sandra

Sandra Report 10 Nov 2009 22:36

Jacqueline and Erin,
Thank you so much. How sad that mother and daughter died at such a young age.

Sandra

Mary's death is registered on 13 May 1897 parents William and Agnes Campbell. John registered the death. At the time she was staying in Arthur Street Greenock. Haven't managed to find anything for him re death between 1897 and 1901. If you can find the daughters marriage it will tell you whether he is still alive or not

Jackie

edit his death is registered as 17 March 1950 in Greenock by his son James. Parents David and Matilda m/s Milligan
