Yes Christine that is my Peter Roy that married Jean Cairncross in Dundee in 1838 but I dont know who his parents were.
I cant find Aunt Louisa in any trees

Yes Christine you know as much about the Roy family as I do now, you are very clever and also very kind to give me so much help, I was very surprised when I discovered that the Roy side of my family came from Scotland, I always thought they were from London where I was born and where my parents were married in 1929.

Peter Roy was born approx 1802 Crieff Perthshire

Peter Roy and his wife Jean Cairncross were from Scotland they married in Dundee in 1838 I dont know of any rellies prior to these.
I agree with you about the Hill it could be a surname from their past.
