Hi Lesley

Hope you can help.

Bernadette

Dennis & Sarah Quigley had a child called Mary J Quigley born 1861 (3 months old on census record)

They most probably married over in Ireland or at Sea, the only way to obtain Sarah's maiden name is to get Mary J Quigley b. 1861 Greenock, Renfrewshire Birth Certificate record.

I however do not have access to Scotlands birth records so would not be able to help you, but please post a thread asking someone to find it for you.

Good luck - i feel sure that you will get this record.

Nothing. The only thing I can suggest is the parish registers, however you will have to find someone who lives near Coatbridge in order to narrow this down.

Its a mammoth task.

ERWOOD George H Paddington 1a 8
Foy Kathleen Paddington 1a 8

I would strongly suggest you get this marriage certificate as it will give you more details like witnesses, parents, where they lived at the time of the marriage. These are things that you need.

If you already have the marriage certificate can you let me have any details on it.

Absolutely nothing. I have even put just the names and the area of Larnarkshire and still nothing is jumping out. Have you looked at the actual scan....does it say Norman on one and Neville on the other census. I would expect there to be a similarity in the names, Neville & Norman seem so far apart?
