Finally I've found something about my family! greatgreat grandfather was in the Bankruptcy court and caught fiddling the books :) guess some things never change hehe

Thanks for sharing that. I have found loads of stuff relating to my family as they were in the fairground business in the 1800's, even got a lovely "In Memoriam" in the Era newspaper.

Hi I have just pressed delete , instead of edit

Sam I had put the adr into my favs but when I clicked it today it gave me a blank page ,so rather than scream I found it by going to www.bl.uk/collections/newspapers.html.
this gives me 6 serials to search but says you have to access the newspapers from the Library
Please can you tell me how to get back to the newspapers


Got it. I had saved the search page you have to go back to the main page and put in the password again

My husbands family were all known artists so his lot were quite easy to find. I have also found some good information on the town where I was born. They make a damn good read
