Hi Sharon, a few weeks ago you helped me with Richard Long and Amelia Pearson. I wonder if you could help me with some more confirmations please.
I was given this information by another member of this site, and have found some of it on familysearch.com so confirmed it there, but not all.
Richard's father was also
Richard Long born Elston
c1754 to 1831
married to
Mary Crosby born Nottinghamshire, died Houghton on Hill
c1757 to 1823
His father
John Long Born and died Elston
c1725 to 1784
married to
Ann Long born Elston
c1725
His father
John Thaves/Long
born and died Elston
1685 to 1736
married to Elizabeth Fisher
Born Elston
c1683 to 1725
His father
John Thaves/Long
Born and died Elston
c1641 to 1736
married to Elizabeth Pacey
born Elston
c1655 to 1709
His father
James Thaves/Long
Elston
c1610 to 1660
married to Elizabeth Whetwand
Elston
1603 to 1671.
He did not offer any explanation where the information came from, or why the change of name, so would be very grateful if you could help.
Many thanks
Linda

Hi Sharon

I was wondering if you could possibly look at your discs for any Belton's, Beck's or Searles. I think they may be more likely to be on your Basford disc so don't worry if you are still having trouble with it.

I won't be so cruel to ask for my Thornhills.

Thanks in advance. Lucy
