Ive talked to my mum today and she says that Albert and Rosina died within 6 months of each other when my grandad born in 1916 was about 5 yrs old leaving the older kids to bring up the babies...(that would make their deaths circa 1920 - 1923 but I cant find death certs anywhere!

Tbh its been quite difficult for me to look for anything for David as ive only gone on his birth year and possible place....the only thing i could do was look for a death but found nothing for a death in york.

Re marriage cert for Aldridge to Hassall, no children came from that marriage. As we are having difficulty finding records I am beginning to wonder if they got married at all?
They certainly both had Aldridge on their passports in 1948.

Depends when his parents reg his birth.

William Harris found on census 1881 age 19 has him living with mother Ann age 58, siblings Benjamin age 14 Jane age 17

William is a well travelled boy after this census-
Australia and back, marriage Battersea 1888 to Helen Jane Connel - back to Risca Monmouth, first child Helen Ann Harris 1889 at Risca Monmouth and then back to Australia with new family in 1890 to stay.


I am most interested in -
The father also known as William born abt 1818/1820 seems to have past away I think abt 1874 so not on census of 1881

this William Harris said to be born in Basselleg, Rogerstone, Newport, and Risca in Monmouth
(getting very confused as I don't know the Area)

Ann- (born Carmarthenshire1881 census age 58) makes her born abt 1823 death abt 1910
said to be local Mid-wife from family story

dont have a marriage date for William and Ann

anything on this family would be gratefully received
