Looking for John, Mary Ellen, Jane Reid, Edinburgh, Musselburgh. My father William Reid was born on 26 August 1894 in Portobella. His parents died when he was a baby and he was brought up by cousins in Rutherglen. My mother was Catherine. They married on 4 July 1925 in Rutherglen. My sister's name is Isobel. My name is Moyra Allison (Reid). I would be grateful for any information. I know that Mary Ellen lived in Musselburgh as I remember visiting her when I was a child and John lived in Edinburgh. The family my Dad lived with in Rutherglen were called Toner I think. |
