Trying to find Reid

In August this year I posted a message regarding the descendants of Allan(Alan) Reid, born 1853, the eldest son of Charles Reid and Isabella Sam(p)son. There were four other children in this family, Alfred, Jane, Helen and Charles Allan. This last man is my maternal Grandfather. I have been in contact regularly with descendants of Alfred, some in the United States and others in Australia. Recently I was contacted by a Great Granddaughter of Helen. Alan was shown on the 1881 Census as being a teacher in Edinburgh, and had 3 children at that time, and his wife's name was Elizabeth Falconer. Alan was also a writer and historian for the Angus area and is written up on various web sites. Any information on descendants of either Jane or Alan will be folowed up. |
