Find Ancestors

Hi I'm trying to trace two adopted children both born to my grandmother Jamesina Margaret Calder Reid, before her marriage to my Grandfather. We know that my grandmother and her three sisters were placed in the Bridge of Weir Childrens Home and during that time my grandmother became pregnant aged 16 and was sent to Paisley to have the child (1942). We do not have any further details as to this child. My Grandmother left the childrens home that year and went to work in Glasgow (a Hotel) and stayed with her uncle Mr. Alexander. We know that she became pregnant again and had another child born Richard Reid in 1946. We know that Richard was adopted, however we have been unable trace any further information. We would be grateful for any information in respect of either children, or indeed from anyone who may have been at the Bridge of Weir childrens home in the 1930 - 1940's. (My Grandmother and her sisters were in cottage 31). My mum and the aunts would really like to know what happened to their siblings. Many Thanks Jennie
