Hi in my search for my family tree it is clear that the Reid`s have a great bonding with the Robertson`s or should I say The Red Robertson`s in particular I understand it is from the 1800`s and in the area of Kirkmichael and indeed Perthshire, if any one has any further information on this wether Reid or Robertson I would love to hear from you, it would also help in furthering my family tree, regards, Andy.

Hi Im David Reid and I can tell you that the connection with the Robertsons is that we are of the Robertson clan, not having a clan tarten of our own as such we share the Robertson tarten.

David. this is an old post so the original David may not be on here anymore. You could try sending him a pm in the hope he receives it.

Did you realise that you were the David who posted the reply in 2007.

Regards. Jill
